Every once in a while, Microsoft creates something that could potentially make things a little easier in Windows 11.
We’ve all done it. When you hand off the work that you were doing on your phone and transition it to your computer? Email it? Type it out?
Microsoft is testing a new “Hand Off” feature to help with that process. To hand off what you’re working on from your phone to your computer and (we think) vice versa.
Let’s say you’re working on a Word document on your phone. You switch to your computer… and poof. A cute pop up asks if you want to take that phone document and hand it off to your computer.
This feature is made possible through OneDrive’s syncing function. It’s already compatible with Android phones, and it’s likely to work for iPhones too, although that’s not yet been confirmed.
Being able to jump between devices without losing track of work could be a great benefit, especially if your team works remotely.
This new feature hasn’t rolled out just yet, but it does seem like it has some potential. That is, if you’re already using OneDrive.
