It seems that every site needs a new login and, dum dum dum.. a new password.
Are you tired of juggling all these passwords like you’re in a circus act? You, my friend, are not alone.
So… how do you deal with it? Do you:
use the same password everywhere? (easy, least secure)
use a variation of the same password? (easy-ish, somewhat secure)
or… set a different password everywhere? (easy, most secure)
Wait, what? How is creating a different password everywhere easy? Who on earth is that crazy… or has the time? You do! By using a password manager. This is how… I used a password manager to spin up a 30-character password… in less than a second: ,;^#%L2p#vmjb!T%@)#[ZikahQD}s
I then press “Save password” and poof… done. I now have a login for a new website. Next time I’m on the site, my password manager automatically auto-fills it into the necessary fields.
This sure beats using ‘123456’ as a password… which was used in 23 million breached accounts. Your ‘LetMeIn24’ password isn’t any better.
Cybercriminals have been bench-pressing your ‘clever’ passwords day in and day out. They’re professionals at cracking them and stuffing them.
Stuffing? If your password is compromised from a breach (like at Target), a cybercriminal will then try to use your email address and that very password on every major website in existence… in a matter of seconds.
A projected $434 BILLION was lost due to payment fraud between 2024 and 2027… and 90% of those… were the result of stolen login details.
Password Managers come in different shapes and sizes. They have features like one-click logins and autofill, just like you’re used to with Chrome (or any browser). But far more secure because it’s not built into your browser.
A password manager makes your internet life easier and, more importantly, your business considerably safer. They even make password sharing a breeze, even with employee dismissals. You’re not sharing passwords in an Excel spreadsheet, right? Riiiight????
Don’t let a password breach ruin your day. If you’re interested in finding out how to set something like this up in your small business, just let us know.
