We’ve heard all the complicated methods of backing up a computer.
Our favorite is the simple methods. Emphasis on “Simple.”
Here are a couple of those simple ways…
1) Backup to an External Hard Drive.
If you don’t have a hard drive, we recommend Click Free. It is simple as that: you click once, and your most important files are backed up. If you already have a hard drive but no software to perform the job, we recommend Handy Backup. It involves a little configuring but is as simple as clicking a button!
2) Backup Online (easiest)
For only $55 a year, you can have your PC or Mac backed up over the internet with a Carbonite Backup product. A high-speed internet connection is required, but they will give you a 15-day free trial (no credit card required). Our clients have been very impressed with this service. The first backup can take a while, but after that, the backups only occur when a file is created or changed.
Regardless of whatever option you select, be sure to back up your computer. If you are a small business, we can show you some more effective ways to secure your data. If you ever need assistance, please do not hesitate to give us a call at 352-328-3333.
