As a Microsoft business partner, our technicians have been able to work with the final version of Windows 7 months before it was officially released. We tested it, broke it, repaired it, configured it, personalized it and found many other ways to test its limitations.
Overall, we were impressed with Microsoft's latest development, especially since Vista wasn't so great. It has the look and feel of Vista, but with the speed and stability of Windows XP. If you were disappointed with Vista, you will be quite surprised at the performance and stability from Windows 7.

If your computer came with Vista, then we strongly advise you to upgrade to Windows 7. If you purchased your computer in the last five years, you are most likely ready for the new operating system. Regardless of your situation, you can use the above link to scan your computer and find an accurate assessment.
Question: Upgrade or Clean Install
A: Clean Install
Don't waste your money on cheap "upgrade" installations. For the absolute best performance, we advise you to "migrate" to a clean installation of Windows 7. It would be a world of hurt for you to just pop in the Windows 7 disk and click upgrade.
Why? Every test upgrade scenario showed Data Execution Protection errors, Internet Explorer 8 issues, driver performance issues and more. Repairing does little good. That is why we do not offer any "upgrade" service, but instead a "migration" service to Windows 7.

One thing which helped me make my decision was the offer to transfer my account from my old web host without me having to do anything... After the transfer was done (only a few minutes!!), I checked out my CPanel Control Panel: surprise! Everything had been moved: email accounts, forwarders, subdomains, and emails! Thanks to Geek 3, I saved a great deal of time and hassle!
