Why we don't have a store front

We started out servicing business and residential clients on behalf of “big box” retailers, long before the “Squad” was around.  We still do this at some capacity, but also market our services directly to customers.

While we don’t have a place for you to drop off your computer, we make up for it by doing the same service at your location.  All of our technicians are Microsoft Certified, and our rates are almost always at a better rate.

What if I just need a diagnosis?

In many cases, a free phone call to one of our technicians can be all the diagnosis you need.  Just tell one of our techs the symptoms you are experiencing and, based on our experience, we can give a good idea of the possible scenarios and anticipated costs.

In some cases, we can schedule a diagnosis visit.  This visit is free as long as you proceed with any of the service options we offer.  Otherwise a small diagnosis fee would be required (see our pricing page).  If we show up and cannot offer a solution, you pay nothing.  You can see the theme here: if there’s a way to save you money, we’ll find it.

What is your service area?

We service the Gainesville area.  We do have an extended service area that covers all of Alachua county, but additional trip charges may apply.

What if I am not in your service area?

With your permission, we can log into your computer and remotely repair your computer.  Remote Service allows you to get your computer fixed on the spot. The remote support program that we use allows you, the customer, to have complete control over access of your computer.

In some cases, we’ve made exceptions if you are outside of Alachua county.  Just give us a call.

  • I have an Apple network with a mixture of Windows, Apple, and HP that I couldn t get to talk to each other. My wife couldn t print the recipes she wanted from the internet. Erik from geek 3 came out to my house in Chiefland – 45 minutes away – and fixed each problem. He was late getting here, but called well in advance to tell me and see if that was okay.   • I was very fortunate to find Geek3 in the Yellow pages and contacted them about straightening out problems between three different computers in my office. I spoke to Geek3 on the first call (and not an answering machine) and they were able to book an appointment the next day.  I am referred to as the “techno wizard” (a joke of course) and Erik was able to instruct me as to what my problems were, the solutions he had to repair them and offer additional suggestions as to how to make my system work faster and more efficient therefore saving me time and money.   • My wife’s laptop kept going to the bluescreen and shutting down. The antivirus program we had on it said the computer was clean, but it still shut down once in a while. Geek 3 came by and fixed it within hours. They are a great service to the community of Gainesville and should be considered first when needing assistance.

Their tech came to my house the same day and worked until the problem was solved. No nasty surprises or additional charges. It is bad enough having a computer disabled by malicious software; being at the mercy of an untrustworthy computer shop is the one thing that can make the situation worse. Dealing with Geek 3 was a great relief. They also left me with a couple of new pieces of software to improve the protection of my computer in the future.
